Hello World

This is not a post about how to put up your first php or javascript code.  Sorry to disappoint you geeks out there.  But what do you need another one of those posts for anyway?  You already know how to code.  This is a post about business – about goal setting – about life.

Yesterday when I opened the shade on the back window – and looked out into the dismal rainy haze that was our back yard – I popped it open and said "Hello World".

It got me thinking.

You see we live with abutters on all sides and a very busy street on the front.  Even our back yard is closed in by two other homes and a street.  At first glance out the back window you see a small yard with some trees and other homes.  It is our world.

How often in business or in life, do we open the shade in the morning and see dreary haze and announce "Hello World"?  We probably do it every time – but the words are not what matter. . .

It is the attitude that matters

It isn’t in what we say – but how we say it.  Now I could have said Hello World with a doom and gloom attitude towards the challenges that lay ahead – or I could have said it with joy and excitement for the rewards that come from overcoming those challenges.

What do you choose when you wake up in the morning?  You do know it will effect your whole day right?  It is much harder to get into a great frame of mind when you started your day crammed into a box.  However if you start your morning set free and ready to conquer the world – then you may find that you happen to do exactly what you set out to do.

So go out and conquer the world today.  Make it your own.

Ephesians 2:10

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

God Bless and Give with Passion!

Chris

Job 37:5-6 “God’s voice thunders in marvelous ways; he does great things beyond our understanding. He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth,’ and to the rain shower, ‘Be a mighty downpour.’”
