For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

God is Sovereign

Have you started setting goals for the new year? Have done so before and really not succeeded or lost interest in just a few days or weeks? Remember the God of all creation is sovereign. He knew about your plans before even the world was formed.

Before you start setting your goals for the upcoming year why not commit to accomplish His goals first. You know that if your goals align with His, you will succeed. So this month before your write your goals, pray. Ask the Lord to show you His goals, His plans for you. Seek him and listen.

Write them down. Act on them.

Take a few minutes at the beginning of each day to remind yourself of the goals you believe He is calling you to achieve and ask for His wisdom and strength to move closer today toward accomplishing those goals.

Prayer

Many are the plans in a person’s heart,  but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails. Prov. 19:21

Lord please guide my plans to fall in step with your plans for my today and all my tomorrows.
